• 88th Annual AMS 2008 - Pictures of my recent trip to the 88th Annual American Meteorological Society meeting in New Orleans (and no, recovery is not complete by any means). We had more faculty workshops, plus I had a poster this time in the Education Symposium, and got to see several people from the summer workshop. It was awesome...
• AMS Faculty Workshop 2007 - The AMS Online Weather Studies Faculty Workshop at the NWS training center in Kansas City (see the AMS Education page for more info). Thanks to Jeff for the hi-res images.
• 85th Annual AMS 2005 - Pictures of my hectic trip to the 85th Annual American Meteorological Society meeting in San Diego. I got to give a talk in the Education Symposium, and I also presented a poster in the Lightning Conference, and one in the IIPS Conference.
• Cape Canaveral Photos (old) - Pictures of my personal Cape tour, and trip to my Cocoa Beach office. I also presented a poster at the 82nd Annual AMS meeting. Here are some of Eric's AMS meeting pics (2002). More Cape pics (newer) from my recent training trip (I got to teach a Linux sysadmin course).
• SoCAL Linux Expo 2005 - I had a whole day this time, but a much smaller booth than LWE :( Next time I give a talk....
• LinuxWorld Conference and Expo 2004 - This time I only had about 5 hours on the last day, but I got to meet several of my fellow Gentoo-devs in person. It was really cool... Some movies on my Gentoo page.
• LinuxWorld Conference and Expo 2002 - I had a chance to attend the recent (2002) LinuxWorld in San Francisco (geeks at work and at play).
• Friend's Pics and Pics of Friends - Just what it says :) Various pics by and of friends.
• Hearst Castle and the Central Coast - Some photos of a recent trip with friends to Hearst Castle and other local haunts (more coming soon).
• Lassen Photos (old) - Some older low-res photos of our trip to Lassen Volcanic Park. Cool (and rainy).
• Cubicle Dwelling - Life in government cubicles with an AF test team. Also, some shots of the Allan Hancock Job Fair and a farewell ceremony for OL-VC (shutting down an operating location).
• Home Office - My new home office (in the converted garage) with my two work machines, the black IBM and the black Dell, and my spare-parts Gentoo box (and other assorted odds and ends). Here's my new office and some on-site install pics.
• Desktop Screenshots The newest screenshots of my first Gentoo box (an old spare parts Athlon now in use in my home office). I'll have even better ones after I finish this hardware rebuild...
• Computer Stuff - Pictures of the various computers on my home LAN. Most are built from surplus and leftover parts; even the newest ones are slightly behind the most costly (and fastest) stuff out there. The performance is excellent, and the price is even better if you know where to shop (and the surplus stuff is usually free). Plus, a Linux server goes a long way on old hardware.
• Newest project - New cooler case design with quieter (and fewer) fans, fan control, temperature monitoring, etc. I had to go through some bogus hardware, but I finally got something resembling what I wanted. Next time I buy a Mac...
